Kerry and Charlotte have been friends for many years, bonding through music, children and health and wellbeing. The development of Awen Progressive Workshops has grown from the shared desire to empower other women and share the joy and depth of creativity and healing and to explore the essence of being human and female.



Charlotte is an artist, educator and activist. Best known as a singer and TV presenter, she has an irrepressible curiosity when it comes to the fields of neurology, progressive therapies and quantum theory, which has lead her to appear on Radio 4’s The Infinite Monkey Cage and to talk at The Blue Dot science festival. She was nominated for a BAFTA in 2018 for her documentary for BBC Wales about the neuroscience of mental health, and is interested in ancient spiritual philosophies and their link to modern biological and physical sciences.

Kerry is a Holistic Health Specialist with 19 years experience in holistic therapies, energy healing, personal training and nutrition. She specialises in Movement Practices and Energy Medicine and Breathing Techniques and runs regular classes and workshops in all aspects of health and fitness. Kerry has a MSc in Health Psychology covering her keen interests: psychoneuroimmunology, neuroplasticity, quantum physics and mind/body medicine. She has studied and trained extensively with some of the best practitioners and mentors in this field: Ido Portal Method, Mike Fitch (GBT, Animal Flow), Dr Perry Nickleston (Stop Chasing Pain), Gary Ward (What the Foot?, Anatomy in Motion),Master Lin (Spring Forest Qigong) and Wim Hof Method. She is also a gigging musician who sings and plays djembe and percussion.

I am passionate about well-being, fitness and helping people become the best version of themselves. I believe we all have the ability to heal ourselves through movement and the mind.
